REAL WEDDING A & M:
Anna and Michael’s Santorini Dream Wedding: A Moment of Elegance and Chic Sophistication… Anna beautifully wore Anti by Eva Lendel and it completed the stylish day.
Lets start at the beginning, how did the two of you meet? We have been together for 12 years. We met through some mutual friends when I was at school and Michael was in an apprenticeship.
So having been together 12 years, James had some time to plan the proposal. Can you tell us what happened?
We were in Santorini, 10 years after we had been together. I booked a private dining (that’s a thing in Santorini) and a photographer turned up but I naively thought he was taking pictures for the hotel. Eventually I heard my voice from down below behind my back and Michael was on one knee. I sobbed and couldn’t eat our expensive bloody dinner!
How did you kickstart your wedding planning? Days after we got engaged in Santorini we went to see our venue, Cavo Ventus. It was the first venue we ever looked at and we booked it because we knew right away. It was love at first sight!
How did your AP stylist Jenna help you in finding your dress? I had no idea what I wanted so I tried on everything from slip to a ball gown. Jenna made me so so comfortable because she was just so normal and could have a laugh. It was exactly what I needed to help me find the one.
What was it like finding the one? I tried it my dress on and knew I needed to go away and obsess over it before I knew it was the one. As soon as I got home that night I couldn’t stop staring at pictures. I thought about it for weeks and went back a month later to buy!
And tell us about the vibe of your day… We had a black tie theme, all guests were in black. Michael and his groomsmen were in tuxedos. We had Greek gyros for the meal. We just wanted a fun and relaxed atmosphere for everyone, which it was.
Did you break or make any traditions? No cake - we had cheeseburgers instead.
What was your partners/guests reaction to your look on the day? Tears and everyone was very surprised!
What is the best part of being married? Honeymooning!!
Of course.. and lastly what advice would you give other couples? Don’t grow old together, stay kids together forever….And don’t have kids!
The evening unfolded like a dream, with the sun setting by the sea. Anna and Michael celebrated their first dance under the twinkling lights..
