CREATIVE DIRECTOR

WHAT DOES AP MEAN TO YOU?

Owning AP is far more than owning a bridal store - it’s being part of one of the most important moments in someone’s life. Every bride who walks through our doors places an enormous amount of trust in us, and I never take that for granted.

AP has grown into something incredibly special over the years. We’ve built not just a business, but a reputation, a community, and a place where generations of brides have created memories together. Seeing former brides return with their daughters is probably one of the proudest and most emotional parts of what we do.

WHAT PART OF YOUR ROLE MIGHT SURPRISE PEOPLE?

People are often surprised by how emotional the role can be. Of course there’s fashion, styling, and creativity, but so much of what we do is about confidence and connection. A huge part of the job is reading how a bride feels before she even says anything and helping her see herself the way everyone else already does.

HOW DO YOU INSPIRE THE TEAM HERE AT AP?

I inspire the team by focusing on people first - both our brides and each other. I want everyone to feel valued, heard, and confident in what they bring. Bridal is such a personal experience, so I encourage the team to trust their instincts and bring warmth and personality into every appointment.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST CONTROVERSIAL FASHION OPINION?

Crocs divide opinion - but I’m firmly in the “no thank you” camp. Comfort is important, but I still believe style should feel intentional from head to toe.

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF THROUGH STYLE?

I tend to incorporate pieces inspired by the things I love - the music I listen to, the films I adore, and the people I admire.

Using my taste in other areas to influence my fashion choices allows my personality to shine through in the way I dress, and I love that. It helps me feel authentic to who I am and gives me confidence.

WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING THING ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT AP?

Honestly, building genuine relationships with our brides. It means so much to me. I love getting to know each bride and creating a space that is honest and fun.

It’s rewarding to know that I have made an impact on a bride’s bridal journey as they too have made an impact on me!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?

I love to be creative with my style. I wouldn’t say I stick to one look as I love fashion and styling myself in many fun ways. But I am definitely known for being overdressed and I love that!

WHAT IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER AT AP?

I assisted with content creation for one of AP’s brides’ weddings and loved being able to capture such sentimental moments.

WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE BRIDAL DESIGNER?

It has got to be Eva Lendel. I love the elegant, modern style of the designs and how each dress feels both timeless and unique.

WHAT IS A ‘YES’ STORY THAT HAS STAYED WITH YOU?

I love when the very first dress is the one. I have watched brides try on so many styles, only to come back to the one we chose in the beginning.

There’s something so special about that moment when they just know that it’s the perfect dress for their wedding day.

BRIDAL SEAMSTRESS

WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING DESIGN YOU HAVE CREATED?

I once made a custom debut outfit for a performer in Glasgow to fit an underwater aesthetic.

It was interesting because it involved a complex corset, a fishtail skirt and handmade accessories to emulate fins! It even had real seashells across the whole costume.

WHAT IS THE KEY TO BRINGING A BRIDES VISION TO LIFE?

One word: fit.

Making sure the dress fits exactly as the bride wants is a crucial step in making their dream a reality. It is a wonderful feeling to help our brides feel confident, happy and comfortable for their big day!

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACHEIVMENT?

My proudest achievement is getting my degree in fashion garment technology. It allows me to do what I love!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT THE BRIDAL JOURNEY AT AP?

I love being able to take a brides dream and make it a reality, allowing each bride to put their own individual style and personality into their dream look.
